Three decades of academic excellence, strong values, and a commitment to shaping the leaders of tomorrow — this is London College of St. Lawrence.
Founded in 1993 by the late Professor Lawrence Mukiibi, London College of St. Lawrence has grown from a single vision into one of the most respected secondary schools in the Maya region, situated along the Masaka Road in central Uganda.
We believe every student carries unique potential. Our role is to create the environment — intellectually rich, morally grounded, and deeply caring — where that potential is discovered and developed into excellence.
With over 30 years of history, dedicated faculty, modern facilities, and a vibrant school community, we continue to uphold the founding values of discipline, academic rigour, and character formation.
To provide quality education that empowers students intellectually, morally and socially.
To be the leading centre of academic excellence and character formation in Uganda.
Integrity, discipline, respect, compassion, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
"For a Bright Future" — guiding every student towards their highest potential.
A great school is not built in a day — it is built through the daily dedication of teachers, the curiosity of students, and the trust of families who believe in the power of education.
— Prof. Lawrence Mukiibi, Founder (1993)Professor Lawrence Mukiibi founded London College of St. Lawrence in 1993 with a powerful and unwavering vision: to create an institution where academic excellence, moral discipline, and genuine care for students were not merely aspirations but daily realities.
A man of remarkable intellect and even greater character, Professor Mukiibi dedicated his life to the belief that education is the most powerful investment a society can make in its future. He built this school from the ground up, guided by principles of integrity, hard work, and service.
Though the late Professor is no longer with us, his legacy endures in every student who walks through these gates, every examination passed, and every value upheld. London College of St. Lawrence is his greatest gift to the community of Maya and to Uganda as a whole.
His memory continues to inspire the school's leadership, staff, and students to maintain the high standards he set — pursuing excellence not just in academics, but in character and purpose.
